Phenergan 10mg Tablets
Uses
Treatment of allergic conditions such as hayfever or rashes such as nettle rash or hives. Also for the treatment of short term adult insomnia, for short-term use as a paediatric sedative and to treat or stop nausea or vomiting such as travel sickness.
Dosage
For allergies: Adults, the elderly and children over 10 years: one tablet twice a day. This may be increased to a maximum of two tablets three times a day. Children 5-10 years: a single dose of either one or two tablets given at night or one tablet given twice a day. No more than two tablets a day. Children 2-5 years: Phenergan Elixir recommended.
Children under 2 years: not recommended. As an anti-emetic: Adults, the elderly and children over 10 years: two tablets the night before the journey. Repeat after 6-8 hours as required. Children 5-10 years: one tablet the night before the journey. Repeat after 6-8 hours as required. Children 2-5 years: Phenergan Elixir recommended. Children under 2 years: not recommended. For short term treatment of insomnia in adults and for short term use as a paediatric sedative: Children over 10 years and adults (including the elderly): 2-5 tablets (20mg to 50mg) as a single dose at nighttime. Children 5-10 years: 2 tablets (20mg) given as a single dose at nighttime. Children 2-5 years: Phenergan Elixir should be given in this age group.
